Looking at all the quilts when we were home for Thanksgiving inspired me to try my hand (or my sewing machine) at quilting.
This is my very first completed quilt! I got the pattern from the Moda Bake Shop. Of course, the original looks much better! It was a learning experience.
A friend of mine gave me a bunch of scraps from her stash and I made this tree one with those. I only had to buy fabric for the back and binding. I think my corners are not-too-bad, considering that this is my second quilt.
This one was my son's Christmas present. That's Mario from the video game in case you didn't recognize him. I just used polar fleece for the backing and no batting which made it really easy to quilt--Christmas Eve, of course.
