This quilt was made as a surprise for my grandmother, Meemee, which I sent to her in October. I love to send unexpected gifts more that birthdays or Christmas! I thought of it as a smallish, fallish quilt but since Meemee is so small it more that covers her with room to spare. The colors were inspired by the owls and birds in the Urban Zoologie line from Robert Kaufman, and most of the prints were bought by my daughter for my birthday gift.
